About this mural:  The inspiration for my mural in the high school cafeteria was my boyfriend at the time.  His nickname was Mickey and I loved everything Mickey Mouse.  Needless to say, the mural outlasted my high school sweetheart.  It’s a very short story but it can also go along with the saying that “whatever you do in your past may sometime come back to haunt you in the future”.  I am joking right now but it does prove a point.  The really cool thing about this is that my dad was nicknamed “Mickey” when he was growing up in Ely by family and friends.  So, I am going to now dedicate this mural in his memory.  Michael Joseph Skradski, my father, passed away September 7th, 2015.  I am positive he would be proud of this mural and of me.  RIP - Jodi Skradski, August, 2018
